Eretz Yisroel to Take Center Stage at The Great Lag B’Omer Parade

The air is alive with anticipation as plans take shape for this year’s Great Lag B’Omer Parade and Fair. The semi-annual event, a beloved highlight for Jews across the tristate area, will embrace the themes of Eretz Yisroel.

A highlight of the parade will be the spectacular floats meticulously crafted to depict famous cities and concepts quintessential to Eretz Yisroel. Expect to see breathtaking displays bringing Yerushalayim, Chevron, Tzfas and more to life before your eyes. Other floats will aim to capture values and ideals central to Eretz Yisroel, such as the Shiva Minim and Shleimus Ha’aretz.

“Considering the events of the past year, Lag B’Omer is a perfect time to celebrate our connection to Eretz Yisroel,” said Parade coordinators. “This year’s theme allows us to show that we stand strong with our brothers and sisters in the Holy land and display strength and pride in our Yiddishkeit.”

With the recent escalation of attacks on Eretz Yisroel, it is even more vital to show our support and unwavering commitment to our brothers and sisters living there. Especially central to Lag B’Omer is the power that Jewish children have to unite and vanquish our enemies – “mipi olilim v’yonkim yosadta oz”.

In a surprise announcement sure to delight crowds, popular Jewish music sensation Simcha Friedman has been booked as a featured performer. Friedman’s stirring vocals and inspiring lyrics have made him a global favorite.

“We can’t wait to welcome Simcha and have him lead us all in song and celebration,” organizers shared. “His music and presence will be the perfect centerpiece to this year’s Eretz Yisroel theme.”

The Lag B’Omer Parade has been the flagship event of the Jewish community calendar for over 70 years. Organizers expect record-breaking attendance with the renewed enthusiasm around this year’s theme and Simcha Friedman’s upcoming performance.

Mark your calendars for Lag B’Omer, Sunday, May 26 and prepare to join the joyous festivities. More details, including the full schedule of events, will be released in the coming weeks.
