Early Morning Fire on New York Avenue

Crown Heights, Brooklyn – At around 4:50am this morning a fire broke out at 362 New York Ave. between Carroll and President, on the second floor of the two family house. The first floor housed a Kloister and the second floor was the living quarters. All resident made their way out of the burning house without sustaining any injuries.

FDNY responded and were on scene moments from when the fire was reported to 911, and had the fire under control nearly as soon as they got there. One firefighter was injured while battling the fire and was transported to Kings County Hospital for treatment.

Let me just tell you that I live nearby and woah-was I woken up by the noisyy sounds-I right away went outside my room to see if it was my house and maybe there was smoke-the noise was as if they were at my house! I could not fallll asleep for 2 hours after that and I knew that when I wake up this morning I would see pictures and what happened at 4:50 in the morning!!!! Thanks for 24 hour news!! I guess you woke up toooo to take the pics!

I just came back from Montreal and was passing by there at 5:00 and was wondering what happen untill I open the window of my car and smelled smoke…
