57th Parade is Underway, Parking Regulations

In honor of the Rebbes birthday a Mitzvah Tank Parade takes place each year on 11th of Nissan. This year there will be 57 ‘tanks’ commemorating the Rebbes 57 years of Nesius.

Parking is reserved for the tanks until Friday morning at the following locations; President Street between Albany Ave and Brooklyn Ave on the right side of the street and on Kingston Ave between Carroll Street and President Street on both side of the street. Please do not park your cars there. These regulations will be enforced by the NYPD.

Mordy: Keep up the great work. Your organization should continue to grow and have complete success. Continue giving the Rebbe ZT”L Nachas.

ZT“L?!

None of those guys ever got involved in the parade. Sorry to let you down, but the annual parade is organized by normal individuals who proudly display their Yechi Yarmulkes and currently continue to live with the Rebbe MH”M. It’s not runned by extremist sefatim, rather by normal “meshichists” or just plain old chassidishe buchrim and yungerlait, who happen to be of the persuasion that doesn’t focus on zt“l and ob”m. To us the Rebbe is not history.

Thanks for the compliment anyways. Join the parade tomorrow morning 10:30 am SHARP!

you are making a BIG chuilul hashem and chilul lubavitch with the yechi signs.

It is sad to say this, but for the terrible Chilul of the Rebbe’s name this parade will be causing on the day of the Rebbe’s birthday, it is better that the Tank Parade does not happen all together.

Do no dammage!

Have we already forgotten the heart breaking St. Louis article that was published right here a few days ago?

When will we cease to be driven by personal success and agendas and begin to think about the Rebbe for once?

How does the average frum (non-Lubavitch) Jew feel about the parade and is that relevant?

Webby,

Thanks for coming today and posting about the parade in general. However I am dismayed that you haven’t posted my response to the “tankist”. I was not responding out of anger rather clarification. Thank you for yout=r consideration.

Stop making your self feel good (patting your self on the back). You (and the Mishichist) are all one of the same! When it comes down to it, you “normal “meshichists””
Will Side with “extremist sefatim”, and besides that you both make the same Chillol Hashem/Chillol Lubavitch (one a little more and one a little less).
Learn Likuti Sichos Parshas Ki Tesha (Chalek Alef pg. 183).

You are either a Chabadnik or a Mishichist, don’t fool your self.

The Rebbe never had shame in relaying his messages, and he expected us not to be ashamed either. The Rebbe’s universal messages, and especially his final request of which he made a tremendous shturem “l’kabeil pnai Mashiach…” does not have to watered down the slightest. In fact, doing so is contrary to the Rebbe’s wishes and desire. Yes, it is true that there are those fanatics who distort the Rebbe’s messages. However, do we have to cease or beliefs just because the xtians impostured our faith. If they would begin donning tefillin or reciting shema, would be required to stop following the Torah just because others have adapted our beliefs and practices?? Of course not, that would be absurd.

Like wise, the Rebbe beseeched us to ready the world for Moshiach’s imminent arrival. He begged us to convey his request to everyone, certainly boifen hamiskabel. But this does not meant that because some few individuals went crazy that the rest of us who still hold strong steadfastly to the Rebbe’s biggest campaign.

To all those who worry:
a) Most tanks don’t even say Yechi
b) The ones that do – are not promoting it everyone – it is a simple sign that says Lets welcome Moshiach next to a picture of the Rebbe or something similar. Further the signs that do say Yechi are small and not overbearing
c) Most regular Jews are so excited by teh event and could not care or even know about Yechi or not
d) The bocherim and kids who ride the tanks are normal American bochurim. They are mostly not even Yechiniks and are promoting a neutral message.

Dov:

I don’t know why we are heading that way, especially on 11 Niasan. Your views are obviously thos eof an “anti”. You see anyone who is anti has major animosity problems…. The word Misnaged means anti, the anti semites, and now how low we have stooped that there are individuals who are proud to declare themselves antimeshichists. You feel that you have the ultimate athourity to decide who is a Lubavitcher. Worse yet, you differentiate that if one heaven forfend is of the belief that YOURS and our Rebbe is or has the potential to be Moshiach of our generation, you have the audacity to decide that they aren’t a chabadnik. Thank G-d the Rebbe never left you in charge to be his deah zoger for Lubavitch affaris.

Your comment is a disgrace. Yes, we are what you like to call by the title of “meshichist”. We never called ourselves this name, it came from you self proclaimed “antis”. Hwever, I don’t think Moshiach is such a bad concept. To me the word isn’t as deragitory as you try to make it. I take the title as a compliment. Though till now I was merely striving to be a true chosid, now I am also a “meshichist”, I eagerly want Moshiach. Like the Rebbe called himself “meshuga” for Moshiach, it’s not so bad to be dubbed by the name you gave me.

I previosly mentioned that there are those who fanatically distort the Rebbe’s words (and that applies to both sides of the fence, don’t think that all antis are so holy) and the fact remains that we are sticking to what the Rebbe requested whilst you seem to be caught up in condemning “Meshichists”.

May we have back the biggest Meshichist of all, the Rebbe MH”M speedily.

“I don’t know why we are heading that way, especially on 11 Niasan.”

You are right about the above; I only gave my humble opinion because the discussion was already going on.

The big lie… You write…
“We never called ourselves this name [Mishichist]; it came from you self proclaimed “antis”.”

Shall we look back in history; let use go back and check the bais moshiach from the first few years (When you got your new “Rebbe” The “MH”M Shlta“), you don’t even have to go back so far, open this weeks bais moshiach magazine and you will find how started the name calling.
Who are the ones that came out with letters (Already after 27 Adar) proclaiming to be the believers and very body else the ”Anti“,!
Shall we look back???
Don’t make this about Moshiach, the whole ”mishichist“ movement never and even now had/has nothing to do with moshiach or the Rebbe.

Another lie… you write:
”I previously mentioned that there are those who fanatically distort the Rebbe’s words (and that applies to both sides of the fence, don’t think that all antis are so holy)…“

Please by all means, give one (just one) example (that what you call ”Anti“ and I call Chabad have distorted anything…. The floor is all yours!

[”now I am also a “meshichist”,” Find me one place were the Rebbe uses that term.]

By the way the peried looks good.
