A Growing Enterprise on Kingston, Lulav Rings!

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — No less than every street corner on Kingston Avenue has a group of children selling pre-made rings for Lulavim, part of what is apparently becoming a budding enterprise.

The rings are being sold from 65 cents a piece, down to 5 for a dollar. Some of the sellers are ever offering a six-hour warranty on their rings. “We're gonna close up and move right after you buy,” one young seller added jokingly.

The competition in this new field is quite intense. One group set up shop on all four corners to try their luck at selling their wares.

Sadly, the recession hasn't spared this industry. One of the sellers told as that by this time last year he had already made $75, while this year he eked out a mere $20.

Our kids don't have too much fun & these boys are helping others, making a few $$, and doing things that are appropriate. Your kids must be so stifled. How sad.

Maybe the parents actually dont mind if the kids go out a little bit and expirience life and not half to do chores. Maybe the parent's theory is “Let them make their beds, clean up their toys and have respect!!” What do you mean “chores” ? They are not servants. If you need household help, you hire cleaning services. You dont hire your children.
