You are so quick to tell others how to handle themselves, maybe you need a few lessons as well. Chassidus teaches that when you judge another person it is because you are seeing the same character traits that you yourself need to work on.

You need to stick to your email network. We, out here, are all very aware that shluchim are not perfect.

What are the criterion on this site for op-eds? Are the previewed by the webmaster so that they do not contain lashon hara? It would seem that only part of the blame belongs to the shlucha that wanted to make a point but did it by speaking of a specific circumstance. While we need to vent about certain trends that affect us negatively, we are a small enough community that it might be possible to identify the person or organization being vilified. While everyone must realize that however much the invention of the phone made lashon hara more accessible, the internet does an even better job of spreading lashon hara. I would implore the people who run this site to inform the readership of what constitutes an appropriate op-ed.

IN RESPONSE TO THE SHLUCHA


First of all, since when do “shluchim” come out and bashmutz people in public, let alone fellow shluchim? Secondly, the person that this shlucha is writing about, has done nothing wrong. Before “shluchim” start bad mouthing other people, i think they should be so kind, and actually try to get some facts straight, and then, if they really still deem it worthy enough of public humiliation, then go ahead.


My initial response to reading such a low and degrading letter, would be that there has to be some kind of misunderstanding here. (We are not even talking about the Chutzpa of the Shlucha). This shluch didn't even take the time to find out what happened, before she would post any kind of posting that her Mishaleiach would not be proud of, and how much more so would the Mishleiach want this “shlucha” to step down from her post as shlucha, since this whole story goes against what shluchim stand for. What boggles my mind the most is, how are you not embarrassed and ashamed to write such a letter, and go under the name shlucha???? I highly recommend that you go ahead, and post another article, first, to apologize to the shluchim, and second, to get your facts and to clarify this story.



I am hoping you are “shlucha” enough to realize your big error, and to rectify your actions by asking forgivness publicly. Wishing you much success in your shlichus.

As someone personally familiar with the specific limitations governing this situation, I am astonished that someone would be brazen enough to bring ill feelings between Jews through irresponsible interpretations of the actions and intent of the purest of people. It so happens that both the Shliach and Shlucha's parents have dedicated their entire lives to Baalei Teshuva, many of whom have been frum for decades. This is how this Shliach and Shlucha were raised and this is how they live. The writer has much to be ashamed of and will hopefully publicly acknowledge her ignorance of the facts and ask for mechilah - for her sake and for the sake of Klal Yisrael.

Dear Shluchim and everyone else out there, please do not take the words of the “shlucha” as if this is the view of all shluchim. She is a very hurtful person and obviously very disturbed. I hope the people in the place where she practices her “shlucha” work, distance themselves from such a threat to peace and harmony.

i am just wondering how going on shlichus works. does any shmo who decides they want to go on shlichus just go? i think woman should have to pass a test of normalicy before they can go on shlichus. we dont need shluchos writing letters such as the one i have read today. it really disgusts me how low shluchos can get. to the shlucha...please consider stepping down from your post if this is how you write! i would really want less of your type working in shlichus work. i really mean that.
