The house looks beautiful, the young men look happy, & it's a great thing to have in OUR neighborhood. HASC is amazing.

I want to add something that bothered me very much from the last post about the house opening.

To that negative neighbor...times have changed. We don't dump our developmentally challenged youth in horrible workhouses. They are & should be fully integrated into the community. I live on the block of the girls' house on Crown Street. Halevai all our neighbors are as considerate! I can't believe in 2009 there are still people with such negative & insensitive attitudes. You would do well volunteering your spare time, which I know you have, & get involved with Ohel, Beis Ezra, HASC, etc. Having volunteered with special children, I guarantee you will learn a lot.

Yossi Fraenkel has a huge heart of gold. He is one of Crown Heights' most underrated residents & very few know the genuine concern & undocumented tasks he performs on behalf of the people who live here. You only know him as the guy who barrels down the street in his “milk truck” & who appears on every Shmorim photo, but if you knew what he does behind the scenes, you'd be amazed. A man of many talents!
