A career criminal with more chutzpah than sense was busted Tuesday for stealing from the very Brooklyn Heights synagogue that helped him during times of need, police sources said.
The collar made 30 total arrests for Davis Duvallya, 43, who was first aided by the leaders of Congregation B'nai Avraham several years ago.
LONDON, England [CHI] — Gan Israel Lubavitch Day Camp of North London celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. With over 375 campers and 60 counsellors, this year’s camp was “the biggest and most successful camp we have ever had,” says Chana Karasik who co-directs the camp with her husband Rabbi Shmuly Karasik.

MANCHESTER, England [CHI] — For the first time ever the Yeshiva relocated to a small vacation town in the north England which has a Jewish community, The Bochurim spent their time immersed in Niglah and Chassidus in a relaxed atmosphere, Shiurim were given by members of the Hanholo Rabbi Moshe Wolberg, Rabbi Korf, Rabbi Klyne and Rabbi Eidelman a special emphasis was put on learning Sugyos in Gemoro with their practical Halachic application, The Bochurim also took advantage of the time to farbreng and engage the Hanholo members on a wide range of topics.

This past Shabbos morning a fire broke out at Yeshivas Kayitz of Hartford, CT. BH campers got out fine and there were no injuries. The campers have been sent home till the camp can find a place to relocate to. The Yeshivas Kayitz started a emergency relief fund to help the camp get through this difficult period.
BROOKLYN, NY [CHI] — A significantly larger group picture was photographed this morning in front of Lubavitcher Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway, dubbed one of its largest summer sessions yet, Camp F.R.E.E.’s second month began a few short days ago with well over 100 children in attendance.

Camp Pardas Chanah started off with a bang in every sense of the word. From the entry of our two state o f the art bunkhouses, to the entry of our super campers and staff the summer has proven to once again be the best summer ever at Camp Pardas Chanah. YSP Bochurim spent yesterday, Sunday taking a trip to the Ohel then Mincha in 770 and a tour of the Rebbes Library, followed by a trip to a New Jersey Chabad House.

ATLANTA, GA [CHI] — Three Gan Yisroels in the Metro Atlanta area united this week for a special gathering in honor of Shnas Hakhel. The rally was hosted by and took place at Gan Yisroel of Chabad of Georgia in Sandy Springs and was joined by CGI of Intown Atlanta and Alpharetta.

Yeshiva Cheder Chabad, Sydney Australia had a Lag BaOmer Tzivos Hashem Rally, Lag B'omer Parade and picnic for all the students, playgroup till high school. Cheder began at 8:30a.m. followed by a Tzivos Hashem Rally, Lag B'omer Parade (which began at 10:30a.m.) Luxury buses brought the children to a picnic lunch at Centennial Park with lot's of games and competitions. The buses returned the happy children at 3:15p.m. after a full day of Kiddush Hashem and rejoicing “Besimchas Rashbi”.

Camp Pre Mesivta is pleased to announce that we'll once again open for all 8th graders. “We are actively preparing what we do best!” says camp director, Rabbi Levi Borenstein, “To really care for these young Bochurim and instill in them an amazing summer full of happiness and enjoyment, coupled with chassidishe warmth through davening and learning.”

GUILFORD, CT — In a vote of 4 to 3, the Guilford Planning & Zoning Commission (PZC) approved the Chabad-Lubavitch of the Shoreline’s application to build a synagogue and day care center at 181 Goose Lane.
The decision last week came after many months of public hearings and testimony by traffic and real estate experts from both sides of the fence: the Chabad and a group in opposition to the development called Save Goose Lane. Members of the latter group consist mainly of neighbors to the site.

BROOKLYN, NY — When the news broke on Thursday of a freakish traffic accident that injured several people at the Chanukah Wonderland workshop run by the Lubavitch community of Woodmere, on Long Island, the story was picked up by the usual suspects: Newsday, The Daily News, The New York Post and The Associated Press.
